We had another model session here at the studio yesterday! This time, we had powdered paint against a white background and let the models have fun with it! This shoot was a blast!

We did a session for five girls who attend Portsmouth Christian School. This was such a fun session that included fun summer activities such as having a picnic, playing badminton, and swimming in our fountain! Check out our video of the shoot:
This week, we had 6 girls over to our studio for a group session. We set up a scene by our 1968 Airstream that included fun props, like croquet, a watermelon, and antique luggage, all to create a very stylized look. All of the girls were very energetic and fun, and we even shot a video of the whole session. Below are some of the photos that we took, as well as the video.
Here at O’Neal’s Studio, we like to cater to the specific desires of our customers, even when their desires are a bit more unique. We really enjoyed our session with Ryan Williams and his friend Glenn. The session took place right here in our studio, where we were fully able to capture exactly the look that Ryan and Glenn wanted. For this session, they brought their army clothes and air soft guns into the studio, and got portraits in front of our American Flag background. We used a fog machine to to give the photos that extra warrior-like look that they wanted. After that, we got more photos in the woods, and even in our barn scene. The outcome was a very unique, but truly exceptional set of senior pictures that turned out exactly like what Ryan and Glenn had wanted. Thank you to Ryan and Glenn! The session was a lot of fun, and we appreciate your creative suggestion! Below are some of the pictures that we took, as well as a video that our video team made to demonstrate how much fun the session really was.
We just shot another wedding, this time right here in the Hampton Roads area. This wedding took place in St. Paul’s Catholic Church in downtown Portsmouth, and it’s beautiful architecture really set the mood for this event. Kevin Bates and Courtney Perkins seemed so ecstatic to start their lives together, and photographing this monumental day in their lives was truly a pleasure. After the ceremony, we headed over to the Portsmouth Women’s Club for the reception. The reception was festive and fun, and had amazing food courtesy of Loaves & Fishes by Dail’s. After everyone had their fill of the delicious salmon, the speeches started. Every speech was as emotional as they were entertaining, but the speeches made by the fathers of the bride and groom were particularly moving. The rest of the reception was full of dancing and bouquet throwing, and there was even a photo booth to add to the festivities. This booth, brought to the reception by Shutter Booth, added so much life to the already lively reception. Kevin and Courtney are now in Jamaica for their honeymoon, and we wish the best for the Bates and their new journey together!
